Support and setup help
Use the Discord beta lane for live install guidance, setup questions, and bug routing. Use direct email when the issue is private, billing-related, or needs one-to-one follow-up.
Support should reduce confusion, not create more of it.
Support works best when the lane matches the need
The beta lane and email lane both matter, but they are not for the same kind of issue.
Discord beta lane
Best for setup and bug routing
Use Discord when you need the current install path, tester guidance, onboarding help, or a clear route into bug reporting and feedback.
Direct support email
Best for private follow-up
Use direct email when the issue is private, account-related, billing-related, or better handled outside the public Discord flow.
Ministry contact
Best for non-app questions
If your question is really about ministry partnership, prayer, or direct contact rather than the mobile app, use the broader ministry contact lane.
Current setup expectations
- iPhone and iPad testers are currently routed through Discord when the active TestFlight lane is open.
- Android testers receive the current install direction in Discord while the broader rollout is still being stabilized.
- Optional live Dave connectivity may require entering or verifying an endpoint in the app settings.
- Offline reading and bundled study content should still work even when a live Dave endpoint is not configured.
What to include when something breaks
The fastest support conversations usually include the platform, device model, app version, a screenshot if one exists, and a short note about what you expected to happen instead.
If the app cannot reach Dave, mention whether you were using offline-only mode or a configured live endpoint.
- Cannot install the current beta build
- Dave connection test fails
- Notes, saves, or study flows do not persist correctly
- A crash, blank screen, or layout issue appears
