Data handling
This is the plain-English companion to the privacy page. It explains how the main public lanes on the site handle information in day-to-day practice right now.
Effective and last updated: April 13, 2026.
1. Contact and prayer lanes
If you use the contact or prayer routes, the site receives whatever you type into those forms. That information exists so the ministry can read the message, respond when appropriate, and handle ministry communication responsibly.
2. Dave chat lane
The public Dave chat uses a session cookie and operational chat storage so the service can recognize a session, keep recent messages together, and enforce daily usage limits. It is meant to function like a real conversation lane, not just a decorative button on the page.
At the time of this update, the public health surface reports that the optional memory-gateway writeback lane is not configured. In practice, that means the public deployment behaves like a bounded chat/session surface rather than a persistent long-memory ministry system.
3. Giving lane
The giving lane currently routes donors to PayPal. Payment credentials are therefore handled by PayPal rather than being presented as stored directly by Dancz Ministries on the public site.
4. Sensitive-information boundary
Please do not use the public site for emergency disclosures, detailed medical records, legal strategy, financial account details, or crisis communications that require immediate intervention. The website is a ministry contact surface, not a secure records portal or crisis-response system.
5. Retention and review
Submitted form content, operational logs, and chat session records may be kept for ministry response, fraud prevention, service operation, or troubleshooting for as long as reasonably needed. That retention path may become more defined as the ministry matures its governance and cleanup practices.
6. Who may handle the information
Information may be handled by ministry staff or operators, hosting providers, form/email systems, security infrastructure, and payment providers when that handling is part of normal website operation or donation processing.
7. If you need help with your data
If you want to ask what lane you used, request deletion where appropriate, or clarify whether something should have been sent another way, contact the ministry directly. The goal is a clear human response path, not a maze of policies and guesswork.
