Privacy policy for the RuachDavid app
This page describes the current privacy story for the RuachDavid mobile app, including its local-first design, optional live Dave connectivity, and the third-party services involved in reliability, analytics, translation, and purchases.
Last updated: April 22, 2026
RuachDavid is designed to be local-first
Much of the study experience, history, and preferences are stored locally on your device. Core study content does not require a live backend in order to remain useful.
If you enable live Dave connectivity, prompts and related runtime requests may be sent to the configured endpoint so the app can return expanded responses.
- Chat prompts you submit to Dave
- Study actions, saved preferences, and locally stored history
- Device, crash, and diagnostic information needed for reliability
- Purchase-related status through Apple App Store or Google Play
What we do not do
No ad-network selling or brokering
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to advertising networks or third-party data brokers.
Optional live Dave
Connectivity can change the data path
If you configure a live Dave endpoint, prompts and related runtime requests may be transmitted to that endpoint. Offline study features do not require this path.
Third-party services
Reliability, analytics, translation, and purchases
The app may use Expo, Sentry, Mixpanel, RevenueCat, the MyMemory Translation API, Apple App Store, and Google Play as part of the product and release workflow.
Your choices
- Most app data can be removed by uninstalling the app or clearing app data on your device.
- Avoid configuring live Dave connectivity if you want to keep the app in an offline-first mode.
- Disable optional analytics where the app exposes that control.
